about me
I’m a recent mass media graduate from Washburn University in Topeka, Kan. During my time at Washburn, the focus of my education was on media writing and publishing with special emphasis on media convergence and a minor in psychology.
As the editor in chief of the Washburn yearbook, I spent much of my senior year working with Washburn students and faculty to preserve the 2008-2009 school year through stories and photographs that capture the Ichabod spirit. The 2009 Kaw yearbook has earned 12 KACP awards for writing, photography, design and illustrations.
In addition to the yearbook, I published the Indigo, a traditional freshman magazine and Washburn’s first Graduate Magazine. My articles have been published in the Kaw Yearbook, the Washburn Review, 785 Magazine, TMI Weekly, and the Mass Media Messenger.
I enjoy media because I have a passion for communication in any form and an eagerness to learn new technology. I love to travel, read, and meet new people.
